About this HVAC quote template
List the equipment with make, model and size, then labor, ductwork, lineset and materials, refrigerant by type and pounds, electrical and controls, a permit or inspection fee, and removal of the old equipment. Each line is quantity times rate and the total is worked out for you.
Use the scope of work box to describe what is being replaced or repaired, and the terms box for warranty, exclusions and how long the price holds. Some states require specific wording or licence numbers on home-improvement contracts, so check yours.
When the job is done, turn it into an HVAC invoice.
Questions
What should an HVAC quote include?
The equipment, what is being installed or repaired, labor, materials, any permit, and what is not included. Add warranty terms in your own words.
Can I quote a repair as well as a replacement?
Yes. Describe the repair in the scope box and delete the equipment lines you do not need.
How are the totals worked out?
Each line is quantity times rate, rounded to the cent. The subtotal is the sum of the lines. A percent discount comes off the subtotal, tax is added at the rate you type, and any deposit or amount paid comes off to give the balance due. Leave the quantity blank for a flat price.
Does it work out sales tax for me?
No. Sales tax rules and rates differ by state and by item, so you type your own rate or leave it blank. Nothing is looked up. This is not tax or accounting advice.
