About this electrician invoice template

The starting lines cover the service call, labor, wire and cable, breakers, devices and fixtures, panel or service work, and a permit or inspection fee. Add a licence number in your business details if you use one, and change any line to match how you price.

Quantities can be hours, feet or each. The amount, subtotal, discount, tax and balance are calculated for you. For maintenance visits, the electrical inspection checklist is a companion sheet.

Questions

Where do I put my license number?

Open Your business details in Step 2 and fill in License #. It prints under your business name.

How are the totals worked out?

Each line is quantity times rate, rounded to the cent. The subtotal is the sum of the lines. A percent discount comes off the subtotal, tax is added at the rate you type, and any deposit or amount paid comes off to give the balance due. Leave the quantity blank for a flat price.

Does it work out sales tax for me?

No. Sales tax rules and rates differ by state and by item, so you type your own rate or leave it blank. Nothing is looked up. This is not tax or accounting advice.
