About this lawn care invoice template
Most lawn care is billed per visit or per month. This template starts with mowing per visit, edging and string trimming, blowing and cleanup, fertilizer or weed treatment, leaf removal and extra hours. Put the number of visits in the quantity box and your per-visit price as the rate.
How to fill it in
- Add your business details and logo once. They stay on this device.
- Fill in the invoice number, date and terms.
- Enter the customer and the property address.
- Write the service period or the visit dates, for example the four mowing dates in the month.
- Enter visits and price on each line, add payment instructions, then print or save a PDF.
Treatments may need an applicator license in your state; that is up to you to check. For bigger one-off jobs like planting or hardscape, the landscaping invoice template has those lines.
Questions
How do I bill for several mowing visits?
Put the number of visits in the Visits / qty box and your price per visit as the rate. List the dates in the service period box so the customer can check them.
Can I reuse it every month?
Yes. Your work is saved in this browser. Change the invoice number, date and visit dates, then print again.
How are the totals worked out?
Each line is quantity times rate, rounded to the cent. The subtotal is the sum of the lines. A percent discount comes off the subtotal, tax is added at the rate you type, and any deposit or amount paid comes off to give the balance due. Leave the quantity blank for a flat price.
Does it work out sales tax for me?
No. Sales tax rules and rates differ by state and by item, so you type your own rate or leave it blank. Nothing is looked up. This is not tax or accounting advice.
