About this receipt template

Use a receipt to confirm you received a payment. Write who it is from, the payment method (cash, check number, card), what it was for and the amount received. If part of the total is still owed, the balance remaining prints under it.

A receipt confirms a payment, while an invoice asks for one. Keep a copy for your records.

Questions

What should a receipt include?

The date, who paid and who received it, what it was for, the amount and the payment method. A receipt number helps you find it later.

What is the difference between a receipt and an invoice?

An invoice asks for payment. A receipt confirms that a payment was received.

How do I save it as a PDF?

Press Save as PDF, then choose “Save as PDF” as the printer in the print window. Pick US Letter or A4 in Step 4 first. It prints on one page.
