Questions
What is checked in a plumbing inspection?
The main shutoff, water pressure, visible supply pipes, fixtures and traps, water heater relief valve, venting and temperature, drains, cleanouts and the sump pump.
What water pressure should I record?
Record the static pressure from a gauge on a hose bib. Many homes run between 40 and 80 psi, and many plumbing codes cap it at 80 psi, so note anything above that.
Can I use it as a plumbing maintenance checklist?
Yes. Change the title to Plumbing Maintenance Checklist and keep the items you check on routine visits.
